SUMMARY
In this article, you’ll find instructions for how to apply for a student license for the 3 scenarios below:
- Your school has single sign-on access via Proxi.id (student steps with SSO)
- You have a university-provided email but your school is not listed with an SSO option (student steps if your school is not listed but you have a school email address)
- You do not have a university email and need to submit verification documents manually (student steps if applying with verification documents)

Student steps with SSO:
- Log-in to your foundry.com account or create a foundry.com account by clicking on the person icon in the top right corner:
- Once logged in, go to https://www.foundry.com/education/students and click on the student application link:
- This will direct you to verify your student status – click on the form link based on your region, then click start:
- Input your school name and follow the prompts for your Universities single-sign-on. If your school is not on the drop down list, follow instructions in section below titled Student steps if your school is not listed but you have a school email address
- Once you complete the SSO, you’ll receive the verified page:
- Once verified, refresh the Foundry page and you’ll now see that you have been verified and the Education Collective product is added in yellow. Click on Education Collective product in yellow to complete the checkout:
7. After you check out, your login license for Nuke, NukeX, Nuke Studio and Mari will show in your ‘Login Licenses’ sidebar.
The Katana and Katana render activation codes will show on the ‘My orders’ sidebar.
You will use your login details and activation keys to install the Education Collective. Please follow the steps for installation here: Q100435: How to Install an Individual Education Collective.
You will also receive an automated email with the link for installing your Education Collective license.
Student steps if your school is not listed but you have a school email address:
- Log-in to your foundry.com account or create a foundry.com account by clicking on the person icon in the top right corner:
- Once logged in, go to https://www.foundry.com/education/students and click on the student application link:
- This will direct you to verify your student status. Click on the form link based on your region, then click start:
- Input your school name. If your school is not listed, follow the prompts and either enter your school email or personal email to finish verification. If using your personal email, please follow the steps in next section titled How to apply with verification documents

If you input your school email, you will receive the auto verification email from Proxi.id. They will send you an email confirming your academic status with a verification code:
- Return to the application page, click on the form based on your region, and select the option "Have a verification code?” Use the email you used for the verification and input your code. The email address and code are case-sensitive, please input your email exactly as you did on the eligibility form. After that is input, you’ll receive the ‘you’re verified’ page.
- After that is input, you’ll receive the ‘you’re verified’ page:
- Once verified, refresh the foundry.com page and you’ll now see that you have been verified and the Education Collective product is added in yellow. Click on Education Collective product in yellow to complete the checkout:

1. Log-in to your foundry.com account or create a foundry.com account by clicking on the person icon in the top right corner:
2. Once logged in, go to https://www.foundry.com/education/students and click on the student application link:
3. This will direct you to verify your student status – click on the form link based on your region, then click start:
4. Input your school name. If your school is not listed, follow the prompts and either enter your school email or personal email to finish verification. If using your personal email, please input your email and click submit. You will then receive a confirmation email from Proxi.id:
5. Click on the support form link from the email to submit your verification documents:
6. Once verified through the support form, you’ll receive an email from Proxi.id with your verification code. Return to the application page, click on the form based on your region, and select the option “Have a verification code?” Use the email you used for the verification and input your code. The email address and code are case-sensitive, please input your email exactly as you did on the eligibility form. After that is input, you’ll receive the ‘you’re verified’ page.
7. Once verified, refresh the foundry.com page and you’ll now see that you have been verified and the Education Collective product is added in yellow. Click on Education Collective product in yellow to complete the checkout:
