Q100483: What are the supported browsers for accessing the Foundry Support Portal

Follow

SUMMARY

This article presents the list of browsers to use for accessing the Foundry Support Portal, to prevent display issues and missing functionality.

MORE INFORMATION

In Support we use a third party ticketing system to manage all our customer communication, called Zendesk. Through this system we provide Support Portal articles in our Knowledge Base and bug tracking functionality in our Bug Tracker, to all our customers.

Zendesk is a web-based SaaS (software as a service) application that runs in a web browser. It has certain limitations which means that you will need to access the Foundry Support Portal from a Zendesk supported browser version, in order to avoid missing functionality or seeing display issues.

Zendesk browser support

Zendesk is tested with the following web browsers running on a desktop machine in Windows or macOS. Older browsers can still be used, but newer features may not look or work as intended.

NOTE: We recommend that you always use the current version of a browser. Most browsers provide an option for automatic updates and your browser must be a stable release version; not an alpha, beta, nightly, or development build. This applies to all browsers, regardless of operating system.

Google Chrome: latest two versions
Mozilla Firefox: latest two versions
Apple Safari: latest two versions
Microsoft Edge: latest two versions

NOTE: JavaScript must be enabled in your browser to allow for full use of the Foundry Support Portal functionality. For example, without JavaScript, certain parts like drop-down lists on ticket forms will not work correctly. This may prevent you from viewing your support ticket history under 'My requests'.
