SUMMARY
This article explains which versions of Nuke you can download and use File I/O SDK plug-ins with.
MORE INFORMATION
As of Nuke 12.2v4, various File I/O SDK plug-ins can be installed separately to override the SDK versions that are included with a particular Nuke version. These can be downloaded from our website here:
File I/O SDK Download links for Nuke
These plug-ins are supported in all commercial versions of Nuke/NukeX/Hiero/Nuke Studio, as well as Nuke Indie, from 12.2v4 and later.
Note: Different versions of the File I/O plug-in are only compatible with certain Nuke versions, so verify the release notes of the File I/O SDK to ensure it works with your Nuke version.
Additionally, please note that the File I/O SDK upgrades are currently not supported in any Nuke/NukeX/Hiero/Nuke Studio Non-Commercial releases.
If you do install these plug-ins for Nuke Non-Commercial, or Nuke versions earlier than 12.2v4, file types such as .mov, .mxf and ARRIRAW will not work as expected. In order to use Nuke Non-Commercial, or commercial Nuke versions prior to 12.2v4, you will need to manually remove any of the SDK plug-in files that you may have installed from your ~/.nuke
directory, before launching Nuke.
To access newer SDK versions, Nuke Non-Commercial users will need to wait for a future release that includes them by default.
