Q100586: How to de-activate your login-based license

SUMMARY

Foundry Login Licensing gives you the flexibility to easily use your licence on different machines when or if you need to.  You can view your current login licenses and entitlements by logging in to subscriptions.foundry.com

When you need to deactivate your product from a machine so you can activate it elsewhere, you can either deactivate it directly from the program or through the Foundry website.

Note: You can use a login based licence on up to two machines at a time

DEACTIVATING FROM THE PROGRAM

 

 

Steps:

Please follow the steps below to deactivate your login-based licence from the program

  1. Launch the software and and navigate to Help > Licensing (this example is from Nuke indie)

  2. ​​The Licensing dialog box will then display the active licence installed on the machine

  3. Click on one of the following options
    • Deactivate <Product> to deactivate just this one product on the machine
    • Deauthorise Device to deactivate all login licenses on the machine
    • Deauthorise All Devices to log out of all your active sessions for all login licenses.  You will then need to login again for any login license entitlements on other machines
  4. Quit the program

 

DEACTIVATING THROUGH THE WEBSITE

You can also deactivate the license from your activated machine through the Subscription page on the Foundry website by following the steps below. This is useful if you need to use your license at home but forgot to log out of the software on another machine.

 

 

Steps:

 

  1. Go to the Subscription page of the Foundry website and login if prompted, then scroll to your product. ​​​​​Screenshot_6.png

  2. Click on the product name to see the details of your subscription and then click on the string of ​​hexadecimal characters under the "License currently activate by" section as highlighted in the image below:​​Screenshot_7.png

  3. On the Activated Device page click on Deactivate Device

  4. Click on End Session

You will then be able to login to your product on a new machine.
