SUMMARY
System reports are helpful in understanding the specifics of a machine, such as the current graphics cards and drivers, RAM and CPU information. Generating these specific reports on your operating system is useful when the Support team requests details of your machine.
MORE INFORMATION
Gathering the system report for your machine can help us in determining if the hardware is compatible with the Foundry suite of products, or in analyzing the specifications when troubleshooting is necessary. The major operating systems supported by our products are: Windows, macOS and Linux (CentOS and certain versions of RHEL).
The following information will detail how to obtain the reports to send for Foundry investigation per operating system:
Windows 10/11:
- From the Start menu, type dxdiag and press Enter on the keyboard.
- Alternatively, this can be executed from the Run prompt with [Windows key + R], typedxdiag.exe
, and press Enter or click OK. - After the program initializes, click the button for Save All Information…
- Save the report to any location and upload it as an attachment to your Support request.
macOS 12 Monterey:
- Select the Apple Menu and choose About This Mac.
- Select System Report… to open the application.
- Save a copy of your system report by going to File > Save, then upload it as an attachment to your Support request.

Additionally, the main screen of the Apple > About This Mac can be helpful in learning the system’s hardware. Please take a screen capture of this menu [Shift+Command+5] and send it in with your Support request.
Linux [CentOS/RHEL]:
- Open Terminal, then navigate to a directory of your choosing, such as
~/Desktop
. - Type
sudo lshw -html > system_specs.html
