By default, the Bug Tracker requires you to be logged in to access it. Your login username and password will be the same as the ones used to login into the Foundry website.

Before initiating a bug search you need to make sure you select the 'Bug Tracker' option under 'Search in:' like so:

Searching by bug ID

If you have the ID of a specific bug you're trying to track down, search for it in the Bug Tracker by entering the ID in the Search box like so, and hitting Enter:

The result should look like:

Searching by keywords

If you're seeing a problem with the software and are trying to find out if it's a known bug, you will need to search based on keywords that describe the problem symptoms.

Enter the keywords you're looking for in the search box, and you can also narrow down your search by product using the selection list:

Running the above search for 'advance viewport' related bugs in Modo will display a list of results like:

The result list will include the keywords highlighted for your reference, and also display context icons to better identify the content of your results. (product logo and icons describing the type of content of each article)

Viewing a bug article

Once you've found the bug you're looking for, opening the article will show the following:

The content of a bug article includes:

  • the description of the known product issue
  • steps to reproduce
  • any available workarounds
  • the product versions the bug was tested and reproduced in
  • expected behaviour
  • actual behaviour

All this information is meant to help you judge if the bug you're viewing is relevant to the product problem you're encountering. You’ll also see the current status of the bug and any targeted release information available.

NOTE: Please note that any target release information is tentatively added and subject to change.

Following a bug article

If you've identified the product issue you were experiencing as a known bug, you can follow its progress by clicking on the Follow button in the top right corner of the bug article page:

Once the Follow button is clicked you'll be automatically subscribed to email notifications to follow the progress of the bug, and the button will display like so:

NOTE: If you want to officially add your voice against the bug report then please contact us referencing the bug ID you've encountered and reproduction information. This will then allow you to track the bug report under My Reported Bugs
