Follow

SUMMARY

This article explains how you can change Modo's navigation controls; to either match other 3D software packages or set your own behaviour for mouse clicks and modifier keys.

MORE INFORMATION

You can change Modo's navigation controls to match other 3D packages by selecting a preset within Modo's preferences by doing the following:

  1. Launch Modo and then open the Preferences.
    • On macOS this can be done by selecting Modo[version] > Preferences at the top left of screen.
    • On Windows and Linux this can be done by selecting System > Preferences

  2. In the Preferences window, navigate to Input > Remapping.

  3. Here you can then change Mouse Input Preset to one of the following:
    • 3ds Max
    • Alias
    • Cinema 4D
    • Modo (default)
    • Maya (several different options)
    • Softimage XSI
    • Rhino
    • Solidworks

Alternatively, you can set your own choice for the behaviour associated with different mouse clicks and modifier keys using the Input Editor, which can be found by navigating to System > Input Editor. This is the case for Windows, macOS and Linux.

For further information on the Input Editor and guidance on how to use it, please see the Using the Input Editor documentation.
