Q100698: macOS 15 (Sequoia) support status across Foundry products

Follow

SUMMARY

This article covers support across the Foundry products for Apple's latest macOS 15 version, Sequoia.

MORE INFORMATION

At the time of writing, the last released version of macOS is Sequoia: https://www.apple.com/macos/macos-sequoia/

We are aware of a change in the operating system which could potentially prevent Foundry licensing from working on the macOS 15 (Sequoia) release, and our software from launching.

The information currently available to us suggests that the OS change will only affect Modo and Nuke family products, while Flix should not be affected.

UPDATE

We have introduced a fix for the above issue starting with Nuke 15.1v4. This should allow Nuke to launch on macOS Sequoia, however, please note that Nuke does not support macOS Sequoia at this time. As such, we strongly recommend that users do not upgrade their OS to prevent experiencing additional incompatibilities.

Additionally, Modo 17.1v1 introduced support for macOS Sequoia for the ARM version and Flix starting with version 7.0.0

NOTE: Katana and Mari 4.8+ are not available on macOS.

If you've already upgraded your OS, and require earlier Nuke versions, we have had users confirm a potential workaround by disabling the private Wi-Fi addresses settings in macOS Sequoia. More information is available here:
https://support.apple.com/en-us/102509

NOTE: You will need to disable this setting for each Wi-Fi connection you're using.

Please note that we do not recommend upgrading to pre-release or newly released operating system versions until we officially qualify and support them, as some might introduce changes that will impact your software usage.

NOTE: Our Foundry products will only ever be officially supported on publicly released operating systems and are not expected to work on beta (preview) versions.
