SUMMARY
At Foundry, your security is our priority. As of June 30th 2023 we have updated the build of OpenSSL used by our old login-based licensing system and no longer support older versions of the OpenSSL libraries.
This means that existing login-based licenses for older product versions will no longer be able to connect and activate a login-based license from June 30th.
This affects customers using older builds of Modo (14.0 or earlier) and Mari (4.6v3 or earlier) with their login-based license. Our new login-based license system that Hiero and Nuke use is not affected by this.
Customers with login-based licenses for Modo whose maintenance has lapsed before Modo 14.1 and are restricted to their old versions have been updated on June 30th so their Modo entitlement will be compatible with Modo 14.1 from that date.
For users with RLM-based licenses (nodelocked or floating), you should still be able to use the older versions of the products without issue. However, we would officially advise migrating to newer versions where possible.
MORE INFORMATION
We would encourage users to run the latest version of the software to avoid any issues. If this is not possible you will still be able to use earlier builds of the software but you will need to activate the license in a newer build first.
Please find steps on how to do this below.
MODO
If you would like to run Modo 14.0 or an earlier build, you will first need to install and license Modo 14.1 or above.
