Q100345: How to disable the Alert dialog boxes inside of Modo

This article will explain how to disable the Alert dialogue boxes in Modo 11 onwards.

The Modo 11 series introduced a new Alert system that does not have the option to set a default response to prevent the same dialog windows from opening again in the future. However, it is possible to prevent the new Alert dialog boxes from opening in Modo by disabling them completely.

NOTE: It is not currently possible to disable specific Alert dialog boxes and the steps below will disable all the messages from the new Alert system. This will not disable any legacy dialog boxes that are still present in Modo 11 onward.

To disable the new Alert dialog boxes you have to disable the Alert form in the Form Editor. Please follow the instructions below in order to achieve this:

  1. Navigate to System > Form Editor.

  2. Scroll to the bottom of the Label column and expand the folder titled (ungrouped).

  3. Scroll further down until you find the Form titled Alerts. Select it.

  4. On the right-hand side of the Form Editor window are the selected forms properties. Uncheck the option Enable and all Alert message dialog boxes will be disabled for Modo.
